Rory Koslow - President/producer
Rory Koslow is the principal of Well Told Entertainment and is an established producer, executive, and literary manager who has worked extensively with major entertainment studios as well as independent studios and financiers. Well Told Entertainment is currently in post-production on the feature film HURRICANNA starring Academy Award-winnning Holly Hunter, Sylvia Hoeks, and Mark Duplass. Recent projects include the Academy Award-nominated ELVIS from Warner Bros. directed by Academy Award-nominated Baz Luhrmann, Netflix film LOST GIRLS, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was directed by Academy Award-nominated Liz Garbus and stars Academy Award-nominated actress Amy Ryan and Gabriel Byrne.
Rory was previously EVP, Film Development at The Jackal Group, a fully-financed Joint Venture with 21st Century Fox focused on multiple areas of content production including: feature film; scripted and unscripted television series designed for network and cable platforms; digital productions tailored for emerging OTT and online platforms; and stage. Key development projects include THE ADDAMS FAMILY animated films and the live stage version of Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN.
Prior to The Jackal Group, he served as SVP, Production at Langley Park Pictures, a feature film production company based at Warner Bros, where he produced the feature film ASHBY starring Mickey Rourke, Nat Wolff, Emma Roberts and Sarah Silverman, which was released by Paramount Pictures and set the record for biggest sale in the history of the Tribeca Film Festival. In addition, he oversaw projects including GANGSTER SQUAD starring Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone; the 2012 romantic drama THE LUCKY ONE starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling; the 2011 comedy ARTHUR starring Russell Brand and Helen Mirren; and the London stage musical of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, directed by Sam Mendes, which was nominated for seven Olivier awards including “Best Musical” and has broken numerous West End box office records. Prior to Langley Park Pictures, Koslow held stints at Warner Bros. Pictures and Initial Entertainment Group, and worked with legendary film producer Roger Corman.
Originally from New York City, he received a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
